App Store in continua crescita: i guadagni aumentano del 60%

Con un aumento del 60% dei guadagni su App Store, Apple continua a dominare il mercato delle app, nonostante la crescita di Google Play. Il maggior successo (escludendo i giochi) è segnato dalle applicazioni di servizi in streaming, come Spotify, Netflix e Pandora.

App Store continua a riscuotere grande successo, con una crescita del 60% rispetto al 2015: si è passati infatti da 3,5 miliardi di dollari a 5,4 miliardi di dollari. Altro dato importante è però quello registrato da Google Play, piattaforma rivale, i cui guadagni sono aumentati addirittura dell’82%, passando da 1,8 a 3,3 miliardi di dollari.

I dati che vi riportiamo sono stati ricavati da un’indagine svolta da SensorTower. La notizia interessante è che, escludendo i giochi, le applicazioni che garantiscono più ricavi su entrambi gli store digitali sono quelle dei servizi in streaming. Su App Store, in tale categoria, dominano Spotify e Netflix. Da sottolineare anche il successo di Line, che avrebbe ispirato Apple per aggiungere il supporto agli adesivi in iMessage.

Poche novità invece rispetto al 2015 nella classifica delle applicazioni più scaricate in assoluto. Su App Store e Google Play conquistano le prime tre posizioni Facebook, Messenger e WhatsApp (per la gioia di Mark Zuckerberg).
