Gli ideatori di “Once Upon a Time” lavoreranno al reboot di “Amazing Stories” di Apple

Uno dei programmi televisivi imminenti di Apple è il reboot di “Amazing Stories” di Steven Spielberg, una serie di fantascienza e horror originariamente trasmessa dalla NBC tra il 1985 e il 1987. Per la nuova versione di “Amazing Stories”, Apple ha firmato un accordo con i co-creatori di “Once Upon a Time”, Adam Horowitz e Edward Kitsis, che sono pronti a lavorare come produttori esecutivi e showrunners della serie.

Horowitz e Kitsis entrano in “Amazing Stories” dopo che Bryan Fuller, lo showrunner originale, ha abbandonato il posto lo scorso febbraio. Secondo quanto riferito da alcune voci di corridoio, Fuller ha lasciato il progetto a causa di divergenze creative con Apple. Lo showrunner, infatti, voleva trasformare “Amazing Stories” in uno show in stile Black Mirror, mentre Apple intende realizzare qualcosa di più adatto alle famiglie.

I due produttori hanno già lavorato a “Popular“, “Felicity“, “Lost” e “Once Upon a Time” e hanno avuto un ruolo importante in “Tron: Legacy“. “Once Upon a Time”, che hanno creato nel 2011, è forse la serie più conosciuta in cui i due uomini hanno collaborato.

“Amazing Stories” sarà uno show simile a serie come “Tales From the Crypt” e “Twilight Zone”, con un nuovo argomento trattato in ogni episodio. Apple ha commissionato 10 episodi di “Amazing Stories” ma, come per tutti gli show televisivi originali della società californiana, non è del tutto chiaro quando debutterà. Secondo alcune fonti, il primo degli spettacoli potrebbe essere lanciato nel 2019.
