Un bug disabilita i collegamenti AMP per i risultati di ricerca in Safari su iOS 15

Un bug in iOS 15 e iPadOS 15 impedisce a Safari di caricare i collegamenti AMP per i risultati di ricerca di Google, e il colosso statunitense sta preparando una correzione che verrà rilasciata nelle prossime settimane.

Lo sviluppatore Jeff Johnson ha pubblicato un post sul blog in cui ipotizza che Google ha intenzionalmente disabilitato i collegamenti AMP per i risultati di ricerca in Safari su dispositivi con iOS 15.

Come ha notato, i risultati di ricerca di Google di Safari non includono collegamenti AMP su dispositivi con iOS 15‌, ma il contenuto AMP viene comunque caricato in iOS 14 e in altri browser come Chrome per iOS. Johnson si chiedeva se Google avesse deciso di disabilitare AMP in iOS 15‌ a causa della prevalenza di estensioni Safari che dispongono di funzionalità di blocco AMP.

Secondo Danny Sullivan, responsabile della ricerca pubblica di Google, il fatto che i risultati di ricerca di Google non includano collegamenti AMP nel browser Safari su iOS 15‌ è un bug. In un tweet, Sullivan ha affermato che il colosso della ricerca sul web sta lavorando a una soluzione e che il problema dovrebbe essere risolto presto.

Per chi non ha familiarità con AMP, sta per “Accelerated Mobile Pages” ed è una funzione progettata per caricare più velocemente le pagine web sui dispositivi mobili. Le pagine AMP vengono memorizzate nella cache, consentendo loro di essere presentate agli utenti più rapidamente.
