Apple interessata alla BMW i3 come base di partenza per la Apple Car

Da mesi si parla di un’autovettura realizzata da Apple ed a quanto pare la società di Cupertino sta negoziando con BMW al fine di stringere un’interessante collaborazione.

Tim Cook, sembra infatti essere interessato alla BMW i3, un’auto elettrica da utilizzare come base per la successiva Apple Car entro il 2020.

L’azienda ha già assunto diversi esperti del settore ed il CEO, insieme ad altri dirigenti, si è recato a Lipsia, in Germania per incontrare alcuni responsabili di BMW e per visitare gli impianti di produzione della i3.

Al centro dell’interesse di Cook sembra esserci il corpo in fibra di carbonio e la capacità di viaggiare per 140 km con una sola carica oltre alla possibilità di aggiungere un estensore a benzina opzionale, allungando l’autonomia dell’auto per i viaggi più lunghi.
