Un nuovo concept mostra l’app Meteo di iOS in stile Dark Sky

Con una mossa davvero inaspettata, Apple ha annunciato di aver acquisito la famosa app meteo Dark Sky. Anche se la società afferma che non ci saranno modifiche a Dark Sky per iOS in questo momento, possiamo aspettarci che Apple integri l’app con Meteo per iOS.

Basandosi si queste informazioni, il designer Parker Ortolani ha creato un concept che immagina come sarebbe l’app Meteo di Apple ridisegnandola in base a Dark Sky.

Dark Sky è noto per fornire informazioni dettagliate sulle previsioni del tempo, con dati aggiornati al minuto, mappe avanzate, notifiche in tempo reale e altro ancora. L’idea è quella di mostrare come Apple può trarre vantaggio da tutti questi dati con una nuovissima app Meteor per iOS, adottando anche le linee guida dell’azienda.

Ortolani immagina un design pulito senza gli sfondi colorati e animati introdotti da Apple nel 2013 con iOS 7. Al contrario, l’app Meteo si adatterà automaticamente in base al tema chiaro e scuro del sistema. La pagina principale mostrerebbe una previsione meteo più dettagliata con una proiezione delle precipitazioni sul grafico, oltre a un radar della mappa con dati di temperatura, precipitazioni e velocità del vento.

Un’altra caratteristica interessante che il concept mostra è il sistema di notifica delle previsioni del tempo di Dark Sky, in modo che gli utenti non debbano aprire l’app continuamente.

Una cosa da notare è che l’attuale app Meteo nativa di Apple è disponibile solo per iPhone e Apple Watch, mentre Dark Sky è disponibile anche per iPad. Potrebbe essere l’occasione per portare l’app Meteo ufficiale su più piattaforme come iPadOS e persino macOS con la tecnologia Catalyst.

Poiché Apple ha appena acquisito Dark Sky, non sappiamo se stanno pianificando di integrare le sue funzionalità in iOS 14, che dovrebbe essere annunciato a giugno.
