Apple scampa ad un risarcimento di 100 milioni di dollari

Accade spesso, soprattutto nell’ultimo periodo, che i legali di Apple siano decisamente indaffarati nel tentativo di preservare l’azienda dagli attacchi e le citazioni di terze parti. Nonostante in molti tentino di accaparrarsi una fetta delle ricchezze di Cupertino, Apple scampa ad un risarcimento che le sarebbe costato 100 milioni di dollari.

Il tutto è nato nel 2012 da parte di un’azienda canadese chiamata Core Wireless (sussidiaria della Conversant Intellectual Property Management Inc.) che accusò Apple della violazione di 5 brevetti sulla trasmissione wireless di dati.

L’azienda era già nota al mercato per il possesso diversi brevetti inizialmente assegnati a Nokia e quindi il caso è stato subito trattato con le dovute precauzioni.

I giudici hanno però respinto la richiesta di risarcimento di 100 milioni di dollari avanzata dall’azienda rifiutando allo stesso tempo le accuse di Apple per pratiche scorrette nella condivisione dei brevetti FRAND.
