Dopo tanta ironia, Samsung ha depositato il brevetto di uno smartphone con il Notch!

Che piaccia o meno, tanti produttori di smartphone Android hanno seguito l’esempio di Apple con iPhone X, utilizzando una tacca sulla parte alta del display per ospitare sensori e fotocamera. “Era solo questione di tempo“, penseranno alcuni, ma a quanto sembra anche Samsung sta pensando di optare per la stessa soluzione per un suo prossimo smartphone.

Samsung ha depositato una domanda di brevetto per uno smartphone con include il tanto criticato “notch”. La domanda di brevetto è stata “scoperta” da Mobielkopen, dopo che quest’ultima è stata consegnata all’ufficio brevetti SIPO in Cina dal colosso sud-coreano in data 30 Marzo 2018.

Il design rivela un dispositivo “senza cornici”, con un modulo fotografico a doppia lente, porta USB-C, e tasti per volume e accensione/spegnimento al solito posto. Uno smartphone al passo con i tempi, senza tasto fisico per il sensore per le impronte digitali (potrebbe essere implementato nel display). Ma l’aspetto del design che spicca maggiormente è la “tacca” sulla parte superiore del display. Una novità che certamente stupisce, sopratutto dopo le ironie di Samsung proprio sull’aspetto di iPhone X (come dimenticare questo spot…).

Le domande di brevetto, tuttavia, non rappresentano una certezza. Le aziende tech, Apple compresa, registrano tanti brevetti, ma non sempre le tecnologie descritte diventano realtà. Lo stesso discorso vale per lo smartphone di Samsung protagonista del nuovo brevetto.
