Google annuncia le videochiamate gratuite tra i dispositivi. Anche Android avrà il suo FaceTime

Google ha annunciato un nuovo aggiornamento Firmware per il Nexus S. Si tratta della versione 2.3.4 che comprende la possibilità di effettuare videochiamate gratuite con tutti gli amici, con rete 3G, 4G e WiFi.

Le videochiamate possono avvenire con gli altri utenti Android o con quelli al computer connessi tramite GTalk. Nel client infatti, comparirà l’iconcina di stato e potremo subito avviare la videochiamata con tutti quelli muniti di una Webcam oppure un altro cellulare Android.

La videochiamate è a schermo intero e funziona come il FaceTime di Apple. E’ completamente gratuita ed oltre al Nexus S sarà supportata su tutti gli altri smartphone Android che potranno godere dell’aggiornamento software alla versione 2.3 Gingerbread. Oltre al video e l’audio è anche possibile scambiarsi del testo, oppure aprire link senza interrompere la videochiamata.
