Raddoppiano in 6 mesi i malware che colpiscono Android

Secondo un nuovo rapporto di sicurezza i malware su Android sono raddoppiati negli ultimi sei mesi. La notizia viene da CNET – un sito web di tecnologie e media – sotto forma di un post pubblicato sul loro blog.

 

Intitolata Malwarenomics: 2012 Previsioni malware mobile, la relazione, che viene dalla società di sicurezza Lookout, è basata sui dati rilevati dalla nota app anti-malware per android Lookout Mobile Security. A quanto pare,  i malware rilevati dal software sono raddoppiati a in meno di sei mesi. Lookout afferma che la maggior parte di queste applicazioni malware si trovano sui mercati alternativi ad Android Market.

La presenza di malware sui sistemi Android ormai è una dato di fatto, ma  non tutti gli utenti corrono il reale rischio di imbattersi in uno di questi. La maggior parte dei malware colpisce quegli utenti che effettuano download di APKs per le applicazioni da fonti non attendibili (ad esempio file-sharing e siti web) e/o scaricano applicazioni fasulle (come quelli che richiedono le autorizzazioni extra) da Android Market.
